Sai Sowmya Nagam is an Early Stage Researcher within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie ITN project “ WinGrid”, who is under the supervision of Prof. Bikash Pal in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at Imperial College London. She is currently working towards identifying and addressing various issues related to wind farm integration, dynamics, and stability, aligning more into modeling and control aspects. She has previously worked towards the protection of distribution and transmission level power networks and fault location schemes in DC microgrid. Her primary research interests are power system stability, control, and protection, and applications of machine learning in power systems, especially with high penetration of renewable energy sources. She received her Master’s degree in Power Engineering and a Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur, and the National Institute of Technology Raipur, India in the year 2019 and 2017 respectively.
