Professor Poul Sørensen leads the Wind Power Integration and Control group in DTUs Department of Wind Energy. His research area is integration of wind power, involving work on wind power technologies, control, grid connection, power quality and wind power variability. He has supervised 14 finalized PhD’s and is currently supervising additionally 4 ESRs. He is convener of the IEC working group responsible for the standards IEC 61400-27 series on electrical simulation models for wind power, and a member of several other international expert groups within his field of research. He has published more than 200 technical papers, 50 reports and 13 book chapters, with citations of over 10,000 in Google Scholar.
