Prof. Marco Liserre

Marco Liserre received his PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from the Bari Polytechnic in 2002. He has been Associate Professor at Bari Polytechnic and Professor at Aalborg University (Denmark). He is currently a Full Professor and holds the Chair of Power Electronics at Christian-Albrechts-University of Kiel (Germany). He has published over 300 technical papers (more than 86 of them in international peer-reviewed journals) and a book. These works have received more than 20,000 citations. Marco Liserre is listed in the ISI Thomson report “The world’s most influential scientific minds”. He is a member of IAS, PELS, PES and IES and he has been serving all of these societies in different capacities. He has also received 4 IEEE awards and 2 paper awards.

Marco is now supervising 21 PhD students and 3 postdocs. In total, he is currently involved in 10 national and international projects with about €9M funding (including an ERC Consolidator Grant).
