Anuradha Mudalige

Anuradha Mudalige is an Early Stage Researcher within the Marie Skłodowska-Curie ITN project “WinGrid”. He is under the supervision of Prof. Dr.-Ing. Marco Liserre, Head of the Chair of Power Electronics at the Christian-Albrechts-Universität zu Kiel and is currently working on controlling HVDC connected Wind Power Plants for providing fast inertial response.

In 2019, he received the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree in Sustainable Transportation and Electrical Power Systems, in which he completed studies at the University of Nottingham (UK), the University of Oveido (Spain) and the Polytechnic Institute of Coimbra (Portugal). He conducted his master thesis research attached to the Power Electronics, Machines and Control (PEMC) research group of the University of Nottingham (UK). He received his Bachelor’s degree in Electrical and Information Engineering from the University of Ruhuna (Sri Lanka) in 2016. He has previously worked as a lecturer and an Electrical Engineer in power generation sector.

His research interests include power systems modelling and analysis, converter control strategies, optimization and grid integration of renewable energy systems.
